WRITE: Quickwrite #25 Poem for an inked daughter- Jean Wyrick
STUDY: Notebook work – quick revise. We’ll choose one notebook entry (not one you’ve previously expanded) and spend 3 minutes making it better and possibly expandindg a bit. Focus is on revision and change NOT editing and correcting.

WRITE: Quickwrite #24 – watch the video 6 Photographers/1 Man below and then spend 3 minutes writing in response/commentary/thinking.
STUDY: Craft Move Focus/”Read Like a Writer” thinking. We’ll take a look at a comprehensive list of “moves” both craft and rhetorical and work together to read an “essay” and examine what moves the writer makes in regards to genre, audience, purpose.
NEW ASSIGNMENT/DEADLINE: WRITING 7 (QW or MB) due anytime between Friday 12/4 and end of day Sunday 12/6

WRITE CLUB: share, comment, build community – Follow the bless, address, press format w/ your rhetoric of rap papers to engage in read aloud, ask for help/suggestions, and get/give feedback.

STUDY: Quick review of using quotes in your writing. Quoting & Citing Tips for Rhetorical Analysis
CREATE: Taking our rap annotations to the next place – rhetorical analysis. What you are essentially writing is an essay. And essay, as a genre, takes the specific and makes it universal (hint: so do most of your rap/hip-hop songs). Use the assignment sheet below and let’s get writing (time to write in breakout rooms).
