Question: Do my sources HAVE to be through JSTOR?
Answer: No. But they do need to be quality, scholarly, published, credible sources. Finding student papers online or open public websites like Shmoop, sparknotes, wikipedia, are sadly not enough.
Research paper quality is directly related to the quality of sources.

Book talk & Indie read. Quickwrite #25: Blackout poetry take 2. Example paper – Shakespeare rhetorical analysis.* A quick look at searching for sources in JSTOR.
romeo-and-juliet-comedy-paper-example
*note that the example paper is a MUCH lengthier assignment. You will NOT need a lengthy opening section, a recap of the entirety of the play’s plot, categories and subdivisions. Just focus on one claim. DO note the way quotes are integrated and cited throughout and the way forward motion carries the paper. ESPECIALLY note how the paper addresses the “moves” of the writer, essentially analyzing the rhetoric, not just the literature.
