Rhetoric & Comp – Friday, September 8th

Deadline:  First paper/piece – either a memory book chapter or a quickwrite expanded.  You’ll need a draft in class (this means in “YOUR WC Drafts folder”) on Monday, either essayistic or fiction (about 2 pages typed, double-spaced, MLA formatted).

Rhetoric & Comp – Thursday, September 7th

Book talk & Indie read.  Writing Theory presentation/thinking.  “Lab” day with two highlights – 1) Dropbox sharing with your WRITE CLUB group (see instructions at bottom of Dropbox Set-Up page) 2) MLA Formatting (follow the directions on the MLA Format page to set-up your MSWord documents before submitting them to Mrs. C )

Book talk & Indie read.  Sit with your WRITE CLUB group.  RLaW: “Only Daughter” by Sandra Cisneros.  Share observations with group & then as a class.

Assignment:  Look up the reader/writer statements of your WRITE CLUB group members.  Read them and leave a comment on each (thoughtfully & respectfully).
