Quickwrite #8: Choose a Line – choose a line (or two) from the Baldwin piece (pdf below) and do the following 1) copy it into your notebook page 2) explain what it says and/or why you chose it 3) expand your thinking – what are you thinking now?

Book Talk & Indie Read. Finish Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds (pdf available on GClassroom if you missed class).

Quickwrite #7 (extended to 10 minutes): Thinking about Long Way Down, write about revenge, or ghosts, or what happens next? Reactions to this book. Feel free to write either in prose (paragraphs) or try poetry if you want. No wrong answers, just plenty to thinking on the page.

Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds. In-class with audio pages 20 – 70. If you missed today, check the GClassroom to be able to catch up with us.
