MEET/SHARE: Meet your writing group for this semester. Share QW#5 with each other. And then share one of the 4-part notepages from your writer’s notebook. Consider the choices you made and follow the discussion where it leads.

8th HOUR ONLY: Check out the assignment sheet (handed out in class but also posted in the tab above for English 8 Writing Assignments).

TO-DO: Be sure you have taken a look at the additional sources & thought about how they connect, what you have to say, and which ones you want to work with. If you would like print copies, email Mrs. C which pieces you need sometime TODAY!

ASSIGNMENT: Cited Commentary & Response Part I

DEADLINE/TO-DO: Check out the additional resources provided via both GDrive link (in the GClassroom) & in Dropbox (folder shared) [These are the same resources; just in two locations.] Start skimming, thinking, and selecting a few that seem to work together – connect in ways that make sense to you. Have 4 or 5 of them selected no later than classtime on Tuesday 1/30. Email Mrs. C if you would like print copies of any selections.

🔄Reading Rate Calculation – In the upside down, read for 10 minutes and use this info to set a realistic individual goal for 2 hours of reading (if we didn’t finish this, we will wrap it up on Monday).
