Book talk & Indie read.  Let’s talk beginnings:  Don Murray’s “The Lead.”  Work with a group to find beginnings and add them to a poster.  Choose one to examine for Quickwrite #14.  Write it down (include the author & title) and explain what makes it an “effective” lead.

Reminder:  You should have two drafts (indelible moment & a review) in your Drafts folder in Dropbox.  If this isn’t true, get on it ASAP!!!
